krystin + gill are married!

everything about their wedding day was simply gorgeous – i’m so thrilled that i was there to capture it all! from the amazing venues – an intimate garden ceremony on the terrace at the tabard inn, followed by a fabulous reception at the darlington house – to the tiniest details – a vibrant hot pink + damask theme paired with orchids + candles galore! – it was pure eye candy! krystin’s looked absolutely stunning in her *amazing* dress and i was simply in awe of her gorgeous shoes, veil, and jewelry – i love love love her style! gill was as handsome and jovial as ever – head over heels in love with his bride! these two absolutely radiate when they are together. i can’t begin to describe how amazing it is to be witness to such obvious and limitless love – krystin + gill totally blew me away, and from the moment they emailed me to the very end of their celebration i never took one minute for granted in their presence. gill’s gentlemanly charm + krystin’s effortless grace make them one of the most enchanting couples i’ve ever known and their quiet romance is simply beautiful. they have truly found their bliss in each other and i am so happy and excited for them!

krystin + gill: you are an inspiration! i am honored to have documented your amazing love and i know it will continue to grow and carry you through a lifetime of happiness together!

rachel + scott :: married!

at long last love.


rachel + scott :: married! the tabard inn – washington, dc.

two weeks ago, in the presence of their closest family + friends, rachel + scott pledged their love with poetic vows on the patio of the quaint + beautiful tabard inn, in downtown dc.

rachel + scott are easily one of the most delightful couples i’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. i loved them from the moment i met them last summer for their engagement session and have been anticipating their wedding ever since!

seeing his bride for the first time scott’s lip quivered and rachel absolutely shone as she walked down the aisle. i was entranced by the energy between them, and while i’ve been know to get emotional quite often, i was struck by how powerfully i connected with their ceremony…there were amazing readings by their attendants, and rachel delivered a poem that she wrote, entitled “i do” to scott. tears streamed down my face as she spoke – it was absolutely the most eloquent and beautiful expression of true and understanding love i’ve ever heard. i remain completely captivated by the way this young couple expressed their love and appreciation for each other – to me, they are beyond inspiring.

inside the inn, cocktails, conversation + laughter followed, and after dinner there were heartfelt + hilarious toasts, and rachel’s uncle bestowed a buddhist blessing upon the newlyweds. one of scott’s best friends played a song for rachel + scott on his guitar, to the delight and awe of all the guests. champagne flowed and dancing ensued, making it the perfect mix of reflective reverie and all out celebration!

nicole + jason: married!

nicole + jason are married! i can’t imagine a better way to start 2009 than with nicole + jason’s wedding at the fantastic tabard inn! the entire day was sublime – from the vintage chic style to the ultra classy vibe of the bridal party + guests – it was an absolutely perfect wedding. 

with the focus on nicole + jason’s love for each other, their intimate ceremony truly honored and celebrated love, witnessed by their very closest family + friends. nicole and jason are extremely intelligent, well-traveled and deeply respected by everyone who knows them. they are adventurous and creative and i’m so excited for them to start their married life – i can’t wait to see what amazing things they accomplish together. 

the reception was filled with love and floored by laughter – every toast was witty and genuine, and evoked bigger smiles than the last. 

one of their bridesmaids spoke about how wonderful it was to watch two of her favorite people come together and fall in love…the love and admiration for nicole + jason among all their guests was truly tangible. there is something incredibly special about nicole + jason, both individually and as a couple, and it was amazing to witness their wedding. my favorite part of the reception was a german tradition i had never seen before – a “shoe game” if you will, where the bride + groom take hold of their own shoe and their partner’s shoe, sit back to back and respond to quirky questions by signaling the answer with the appropriate shoe. we quickly learned who the couple considered to be the best driver, the most fiscally responsible, the best looking, and so on within the relationship! it was very entertaining, and i loved their reactions to the questions, as well as the laughter that ensued from the responses.

after the last dance, guests bid the newlyweds farewell as they stole off into the rainy night, bound for new zealand and their amazing honeymoon adventure!

a huge CONGRATS to nicole + jason – and here’s to 2009!

i can’t imagine a better way to kick off  2009 than yesterday’s wedding! these newlyweds are headed to new zealand tomorrow and i just wanted to share the last shot of the night as they exited the tabard inn! more to come from this fabulous celebration- stay tuned!
