kristi + jon are married!
when it comes to love + laughter, kristi + jon take the cake! this absolutely exuberant couple tied the knot two weeks ago at the chesapeake bay beach club in stevensville, md. i’ve been anticipating this day since i first photographed them almost a year ago at an amazing farm on gibson island – by far one of the most fun + memorable engagement sessions ever! (check it out here!) it’s impossible to explain the kind of energy that this couple effortlessly radiates – everything about them is wonderful and together they are a force unlike any other! i knew their wedding would be spectacular – and the entire day was thrilling. watching kristi + jon celebrate together with their awesome family + friends was pure joy. the dance floor was completely off the chain and i had the time of my life. there wasn’t a moment when kristi + jon weren’t smiling, laughing or kissing and i’m so excited to share the images from this spectacular lovefest!
kristi + jon: i think the world of you both. your love, passion and excitement is inspiring. simply put, you are the reason i do what i do. thank you for welcoming me into your lives – i can’t wait to follow your journey and document every milestone along the way!

michael mary + stephen: engaged!

michael mary + stephen are back on the blog! woo! last december we commemorated their engagement with a save-the-date mini-session and just a few weeks ago we got together again for a full engagement session – visiting churchkey (where stephen works + where they got engaged!) and the GW university campus where they fell in love. it was great seeing them again, catching up, and even chatting about stephen’s cousin ashley’s upcoming wedding (i love this family!!) – too much fun!
this was actually my first time on campus and GW was a fantastic place to shoot! we canvased the grounds, passing through the main square, stopping by stephen’s frat house, and of course visited the iconic river horse (hippo!) for some fun photos with the lucky mascot. michael mary + stephen — you are a delight, and your love truly shines — i hope to photograph you many more times!

last week i had the pleasure of attending the gallery opening for my friend + local artist ramon matheu at west annapolis art works!
i met ramon at last year’s honfest where he took second place in the “what is a hon?” juried art contest. i absolutely love ramon’s vibrant and inspired work which he describes as “a combination of radiant black outlines and vivid colors that put a fun spin on the various subjects” that he illustrates. his style is “distinctive post-pop” and i think it’s simply fantastic!
