the brilliant + talented leigh stevens, at her home studio in philadelphia.

leigh stevens, the incredibly creative mastermind behind least likely to breed (LL2B), is a woman of many talents — artist, massage therapist, business woman, mother, wife, and aesthetic genius — she does it all! ever since i discovered her fabulous products and ordered my custom lip balms ages ago, ive loved working with her and getting to know her better. last year i did a session with her + scott to celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary and was thrilled to visit her again in philly last month. leigh is preparing to launch her newest project — whereapy, a comprehensive online guide to therapy in philadelphia — and i spent the day documenting various forms of therapy, from massage to reiki to acupuncture and more! it was a fantastic experience — check out their *new* blog online :: blog.whereapy.com

enjoy!

leigh + scott: anniversary session.

everlasting love.

BLONDEPHOTO-LS-003-2004

meet leigh + scott. this amazing couple is bound together by love, creativity, and laughter. a few weeks ago i had the opportunity to meet up with them in downtown philadelphia to celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary (woohoo!) with a fun, impromtu photo session!

the entire shoot was so wonderfully serendipitous – leigh is the genius behind LL2B – the fabulous + renowned maker of all sorts of goodies, most notably these custom lip balms! she contacted me a few days prior to the session to inquire about a shoot and see if i’d be in the philly are anytime soon. i was already planning on heading up on the 19th for two engagement sessions and was excited to squeeze her in – especially when i found out that the 19th was their actual anniversary date! so perfect!

in addition to LL2B, leigh + scott have a sweet studio + exhibition space in the city – basekamp – that showcases large scale collaborative projects by contemporary artists. we met at the studio and then walked around town, weaving in and out of parks, courtyards, and the oldest cemetery i’ve ever seen. we made our way back to basekamp and did a few shots on the roof and inside of the studio. i got to learn about their newest project and was absolutely fascinated by the projects they work on! if i ever hesitate to refer to myself as an “artist” it is because of tremendously talented and creative people like leigh + scott. to me, they are the coolest kind of artists – using visual and philosophical methods to explore dynamic sociological issues and truly living a life entrenched and influenced by art, creativity and knowledge. i really enjoyed spending the morning with these two and can’t wait to visit them again soon.

enjoy!

hello philadelphia!

the great philly shootout.

donna + brian :: citizens bank park, philadelphia.

i spent the entire day tuesday shooting in downtown philly with three absolutely amazing couples! i started the morning with an anniversary session for leigh + scott downtown, headed over to the baseball stadium for part I of donna + brian’s engagement session, then to the art museum for part II, and then to narberth to meet up with melissa + mike before exploring fairmount park for their session!

it was a fantastic, crazy, fun, exhausting day and i loved every minute of it! shooting three full sessions in one day is no easy task – especially in another city! i was up and back in the same day since i have a very full week here in dc, so i didn’t get to spend much time exploring the rest of philly – but i loved what i saw and can’t wait to go back very soon.

the official “shootout” stats :: 3 sessions, 3000 images, 300 miles, 15 hours, and (shockingly) very little caffeine.

enjoy these sneak peeks…
