lily: boxer session.

an afternoon with lily.

meet lily. she is a total love bug, especially with her owner jeanne! these two have so much fun together and i was delighted to spend an afternoon with them, first at home where lily was super chill and very loving towards me – i got lots of boxer kisses in the first few minutes i was there! she totally crawled into my lap and jeanne was amazed! what can i say? big dogs and drunk groomsmen always love the blonde photographer!

it was a gorgeous afternoon, and we took a walk through the neighborhood and onto a wooded path with lots of bikers, runner and other dogs. lily led us to her favorite spot – a rocky creek where she loves to chase her frisbee and dash through the water! it was hilarious watching her search for the frisbee – jeanne tossing it and lily leaping and taking off, her ears perked and her muscles flexed – she’s a beautiful boxer!

thank you jeanne for sharing an afternoon with me – i loved meeting you + lily and can’t wait to see you both again soon!

liam + lily wynn: lifestyle family session!

say hello to liam + lily wynn! last week i had the pleasure of meeting these absolutely adorable children for a lifestyle family session with their parents + grandparents – so fun!

they were very excited, especially after liam confirmed with me that he “didn’t have to look at the camera” (too funny!) and i had a great time watching them riding their bikes, blowing bubbles, and playing on their awesome swing set. even better, their parents got in on the action – swinging and even sliding down the slide with the kids! they are such a fun and loving family – there was lots of laughter (due to lots of tickling!), lots of hugs, and so many silly faces. i just love seeing siblings play together – learning their favorite games, and funny things they like to do. i especially love how kids always want to show you things – they are such fabulous little entertainers!

a day at the zoo.

i had the most fabulous time at the dc zoo with the fabulously famous quinn and her crew!

it was a hot afternoon and everyone was feeling crazy goofy – which i loved! i’m so glad i finally got to meet jay and his awesome kids – christian + evie grace are smart, cute and super fun. highlights included monkeying around outside of the ape house, and seeing everyone’s silly mustache face!

troy: littlest heroes project session!

a little hero + his family!

last weekend i had the opportunity to document another session for the littlest heroes project! i’m honored to be a part of this amazing organization and was so excited to meet troy + his family! i spent the morning at their home watching troy + his big sister mya playing all their favorite games – mr potatoe head, bubbles, swinging, reading books, and more!

troy is a happy, loving little 2 year old boy who was recently diagnosed with autism. his family is working to learn everything they can about this terrible disease and are making sure that troy gets all the attention he needs to grow, learn and thrive. he is very lucky to have such amazing parents who love him so much, and a big sister who loves helping take care of him :)

my favorite photo is the one of troy laughing with his dad – his parents know exactly what makes him the happiest and his smile is so gorgeous. i’m very thankful to have met this amazing little boy and his inspiring family – enjoy!

evan: lifestyle family session!

why hello evan!

i hesitate to refer to evan as “baby evan” since the last time i saw him he was just 8 weeks old! how time flies! he’s now just over a year old and he already seems like a little man to me! evan is just starting to walk and he is full of personality – i had so much fun seeing him again! evan was actually my very first newborn lifestyle session baby – i had no clue what to do with such a tiny baby but his parents were (and are!) so wonderful, it was the best experience! when rachel (his mom!) let me know they had moved into a new house and wanted to do another session i was thrilled! it was awesome to see the whole family (including the wild doggies!) in their new digs and make some really fun photographs!

alex + toby: lifestyle session.

alex + toby + jaxon + baby (coming soon!)

alex + toby are having a baby!

i absolutely adore alex and i was so excited to spend the afternoon with her + toby, and of course their amazing dog jaxon! jax is a sweetheart and this new baby is so lucky to get such a fabulous family! i met alex at her house for a few very candid and relaxed maternity shots – she is 8 months pregnant and looks gorgeous. radiant and funny as ever, i loved being around alex and seeing how excited and ready she is to be a mom! toby is equally anxious, and i had a great time photographing them together in old town alexandria. i can’t wait to meet the new baby and see how cute it is! they don’t know what they are having but alex’s friends swear it’s a boy from the way she carries! i don’t know about all that, but i do know that anyone who looks that good and runs around town in heels at 8 months pregnant is one hot mama!

alex + toby: thank you for spending the afternoon with me! i am so excited and can’t wait to meet your baby! you are going to be the best parents ever!
