melissa + joe: married!
he won’t stay without melissa…
melissa + joe are married!
they tied the knot with a fabulous celebration two weeks ago on a sunny august afternoon in downtown annapolis. truly one of the most easy going and happy couples ever, melissa + joe had a perfectly blissful day, just as i expected. their love is strong and quiet, and together they are totally magnetic. i love that every couple has such a unique bond and different type of love *and* that i get to witness it on one of their best days ever – yay for weddings!
the ceremony took place at st. mary’s church – and was absolutely stunning. afterwards we lingered in the courtyard for family photos before heading down to the docks for some more fun ones – causing quite the stir among tourists with our entourage…the bridal party was big and spirited and kept everything exciting as we toured around town in the fabulous party bus!
the reception was at the loew’s annapolis – located right on west street with gorgeous decor and a great annapolis vibe. *plus* the loew’s is a pet-friendly hotel! (and yes, cricket came with me for my annapolis weekend getaway!) after cocktail hour in the atrium, guests moved into the ballroom where dinner was served and the party began! i’ve gotten to know this group very well, both socially and in front of the camera (having photographed many of their friends + bridal party) and i knew to expect some serious action on the dance floor! i was delighted to see some sweet moves and even hear the boys sing for their alma mater (lots of maryland alums in attendance – particularly the bride + groom!) – it was fantastic!
melissa + joe thank you so much for having me! i loved being a part of your wedding day and i’m so happy for you both! congrats!!

kristi + jon: engaged!
laughter + kisses.
last sunday i met kristi + jon at gayfields farm on gibson island for their amazing engagement session. i absolutely love shooting in the city, but i was so excited for a change of scenery and was absolutely delighted to discover a pristine horse farm located right on the water. the three of us explored the entire area, wandering through the wooded grounds, walking along the sandy shore, hanging out on the pier and lingering in the horse stables. it was like a fun field trip!
even better, kristi + jon are one of the cutest, happiest, couples i’ve ever photographed – as evidenced by the fact that they are either laughing or kissing (or both!) in every single photograph. these two have amazing energy and are total love birds – i saw it the first time we met and it was fantastic to spend the evening getting to know them in such a gorgeous place. their wedding will be one of the highlights of 2010 and i cannot wait!
people in love make me happy :)
so here’s to love and here’s to my first official couple for 2010!

jonelle + matt: married!
from jersey with love.
jonelle + matt are married! two weeks ago i traveled up the coast to new jersey for their absolutely amazing (and much anticipated) wedding celebration! let me just say that i love love love this couple and simply could not wait for them to tie the knot! i am honored to count them both among my friends and was thrilled when they asked me to document their day. we had the best time ever at their engagement session in nyc over a year and a half ago (!!!) and i knew that their wedding day was going to be spectacular. there was so much love and happiness from their families + friends, it was truly a perfect union :)
the wedding took place at the renowned westmount country club – with a pre-cocktail hour and ceremony outside on the terrace overlooking the gardens + gazebo, followed by a lavish cocktail hour inside and reception in the amazing ballroom! everything was gorgeous and fancy – i loved all the color + details. the lively reception featured lots of dancing, live percussion (by the bride + groom no less!) and one outrageous flaming baked alaska!
jonelle + matt: thank you! i am so incredibly happy that i was able to document your wedding day and be witness your awesome relationship. i know that you have found true love + happiness together, and wish you the absolute best that life has to offer.
