the young & the guestlist.

last thursday night washington life magazine threw its signature bash – the young & the guestlist – proving once again that there are indeed young hotties moving and shaking all over the district…festivities began at the st. regis and moved on the the halcyon house and later, josephine lounge. still buried in the aftermath of my awesome trip to sundance, i only stopped by to capture the arrivals of dc’s finest as they posed against the washington life backdrop…i just love happy, beautiful, photogenic people!

GO HOME POGUE MAHON sundance launch party.

one of my main jobs at the sundance festival last week was to cover the GO HOME POGUE MAHON launch party in park city. the film is a goldenhead + dying art productions collaboration, and the party featured hosts livingston webb + michael gerrior of goldenhead, sven kamm of dying art productions, as well as the film’s actors ryan cartwright + adam campbell. the incredibly talented musician jill stevenson performed a live session, and guests were entertained with an up-close falcon + hawk encounter.

trust me, it was a very interesting party…so happy to be a part of it!

plunging hons take the polar bear plunge!

the plunging hons were among the 10,000 plungers that braved the icy waters of the chesapeake on saturday at sandy point state park for the 12th annual MSP polar bear plunge. this years’ polar bear plunge raised a record $3 million for special olympics and attracted a huge crowd – creating the need for multiple plunges throughout the day.

it was a wicked cold 30 degrees, and sunshine was definitely lacking – but it didn’t discourage the fantastically costumed and enthused plungers – and i can tell you it was the best beach party i’ve ever attended!

the plunging hons easily stole the show with their vibrant attention-grabbing costumes and proudly raised nearly $3000 in just over 2 weeks!

YAY HONS!

plunging hons fundraising happy hour.

the plunging hons team hosted a very fun and very successful fundraising happy hour at cafe hon in hampden last week as we prepared for the MSP polar bear plunge…

the hon bar was the perfect place to host the plunging hons happy hour!

the awesome people from children’s hospital hosted a fabulous fundraising affair last night at POSH restaurant & supper club in the district…the charitable (and fashionable) guests enjoyed great music, crazy dancing, and excellent company on POSH’s two gorgeous levels. i had a wonderful time – everyone looked spectacular, i met mike green from the washington capitals – GO CAPS! – and saw tons of my favorite socialites. best of all, the evening helped to generate money for the hospital – a very worthy cause.
