brittany + jack: engaged!

all you need is love.

brittany + jack are engaged! this fall they are getting married at home in texas and really wanted their engagement photos to capture their life here in the district. we had an amazing session last week – trekking from the tidal basin to chinatown and getting the most incredible shots along the way! i absolutely loved meeting this dynamic couple – they are full of energy, incredibly fun, very silly, and totally in love. britt + jack were up for absolutely anything – from maneuvering through the wild cherry blossom crowds, to showing off their hot dance moves, and even stopping in the middle of the street for a passionate kiss!

i couldn’t be more excited for brittany + jack and i wish them all the luck + happiness in the world!

jeni + swen: engaged!

going the distance.

jeni + swen are getting married…very soon! they are tying the knot at the woodend sanctuary in just a few weeks and what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous engagement session in dc!

their amazing friend maggie surprised them with the session and what a perfect gift…swen lives in brooklyn and jeni is based in dc, so we coordinated everyone’s schedules and even managed to take advantage of the blooming cherry blossoms. jeni + swen have traveled all over the world and have experienced amazing cultures together – it was so interesting to chat with them! i also learned that soon after they are married they will likely find themselves in a new distant country. i know that they will no matter where jeni + swen are living, they will always be learning, laughing, and loving each other wherever they may be.

mateo: littlest heroes session.

hello mateo!

i was so excited to meet mateo + his family last weekend for my very first littlest heroes project session! the session was exactly the same as any of my lifestyle sessions – i spent the morning playing with mateo, letting him show me his favorite toys, his star wars bedroom, his awesome swing set, and of course, his amazing spiderman moves! talk about a superhero! although mateo is struggling with developmental disabilities, his shining personality, capacity for laughter + love, and ability to make everyone around him smile are far advanced! he is a very sweet 4 years old who loves to color, loves trucks, has a wild and active imagination, and is very loved by his incredible parents.

yee sun + KM: engaged!

a twist on tradition.

meet yee sun + KM! this is one of my favorite couples ever! these two are amazing – yee sun is the sweetest, cutest person evert and KM is polite, thoughtful and clearly adores yee sun! i spent an delightful afternoon in baltimore documenting their love and learning about their relationship. they are both from singapore and in lieu of traditional chinese pre-wedding photography, they elected to have a lifestyle session with me! they will return to singapore next month for two amazing wedding celebrations and take with them these gorgeous images depicting their life in baltimore – how fun!

buddha + sumo: shihtzu session!

shihtzu session = happiness.

i absolutely love photographing people with their pets! so i was thrilled when karen contacted me about a session with her adorable and beloved shihtzus, buddha + sumo! it was another very cold winter day in dc, but we braved the windy rooftop and the dog park to get some really fun shots! buddha + sumo have a beautiful home and a fabulous life with their amazing owners! karen + steve: thank you for inviting me into your lives so i could spend the day with your gorgeous + blissful shihtzus – i love them!!!

charlie + callie: lifestyle.

blonde photo lifestyle sessions = playtime!

i had so much fun playing with charlie + callie! a few weeks ago i spent the afternoon with these two as they showed me their circus tricks, played dress up, made art, and even built all sorts of crazy things! the cold winter weather didn’t stop them from showing me how they climb trees, race around on scooters and have fun together! in addition to charlie + callie, i had the joy of meeting lucy – the spunkiest little puppy ever! her + charlie are best buds and it was an absolute riot watching them play together! the only time lucy didn’t have charlie’s full attention was when he was busy playing with his awesome big sister callie – and lucy would either jump in the mix or watch anxiously from the sidelines, tail wagging! not only the kids super fun, but they have some pretty cool parents, and we managed to sneak in a few quick family photos as well! i had a blast with this family – it was the perfect way to spend a cold winter day! thanks guys – enjoy!
