laurie + ben are married!
you may remember this amazing couple from their recent engagement session where we had the best time running the streets of bethesda. i was *so* incredibly amped up for their wedding day because i just love these two so much! laurie + ben are wonderful individuals with a dynamic love that makes them shine as a couple. i seriously doubt i will ever meet anyone with as much fabulous, positive, amazing energy as laurie – she is unbelievable! watching her and ben together made me so incredibly happy – i totally *love* people that are in love!
laurie + ben love living in bethesda and had the perfect local wedding, showing their guests a glimpse of life in their neighborhood. the wedding events centered around their favorite spots, and the church and hotel were just a few blocks from their home. the ceremony took place at the church in bethesda, followed by a gorgeous reception at the doubletree hotel. it was a gorgeous day and we found tons of great spots for photos, and then traveled through town in a old time trolley – i *love* trolleys!
as insinuated by the title of this post, the reception was totally off the chain – a huge, fun dance floor that rocked all night long! laurie + ben were on fire and so fun to photograph! everyone was on the dance floor, not just their fun-lovin, move-bustin’ friends, but almost every guest, from the little kids to the parents and the grandmas, even the blonde photographer tossed a camera to one of the bridesmaids and got down for a few minutes! the playlist was phenomenal and i had the greatest time ever capturing all the action…enjoy!

scott + rachel in dupont circle.
i had a fantastic engagement session tonight with rachel + scott! we met up on del ray’s charming main street, swung by their adorable house, headed to old town alexandria and finished up in dupont circle – visiting all their favorite places along the way. i simply *love* the above image – taken at the end of our session, just after sunset, in the middle of the city. more to come from this fabulous couple…stay tuned!

with a gorgeous ceremony at georgetown university’s chapel, reception at the amazing DAR constitution hall and tours of the monuments (day + night!) stefanie + brendon had a fantastic DC wedding! there are so many images that reflect the day and all its many facets, but i simply *love* this one quiet moment of anticipation before the wildly exciting celebration that followed! more to follow…stay tuned!

anna rose: newborn session.
hello baby!
anna rose has arrived!
anna rose is the tiniest baby and *newest* newborn i have ever photographed! at 17 days old and under 8 lbs she is so little and so very perfect! i was thrilled to meet her and amazed that she was so alert throughout our session – her big blue eyes loved my camera! yay!
joe + kristin (her fantastic parents) are thrilled to welcome their third child into the family, and anna rose couldn’t be luckier! this is one of my absolute favorite families – i’ve photographed them many times and i always have a blast and love how the photographs seem to reflect their love so perfectly. they have so much fun together it’s contagious, and i know jules and alexander are so excited to have a new baby sister!
kristin really just wanted photographs of anna rose, but i couldn’t help capturing the amazing moments between mommy + baby! kristin is such a wonderful, loving, gentle, and understanding mother – watching her with anna rose in her arms made me so happy :)
kristin + joe: it’s truly been a joy and a privilege to document your lives so far and i can’t wait for our next session in a few months! thank you for continuing to trust me with preserving your memories.

lily: boxer session.
an afternoon with lily.
meet lily. she is a total love bug, especially with her owner jeanne! these two have so much fun together and i was delighted to spend an afternoon with them, first at home where lily was super chill and very loving towards me – i got lots of boxer kisses in the first few minutes i was there! she totally crawled into my lap and jeanne was amazed! what can i say? big dogs and drunk groomsmen always love the blonde photographer!
it was a gorgeous afternoon, and we took a walk through the neighborhood and onto a wooded path with lots of bikers, runner and other dogs. lily led us to her favorite spot – a rocky creek where she loves to chase her frisbee and dash through the water! it was hilarious watching her search for the frisbee – jeanne tossing it and lily leaping and taking off, her ears perked and her muscles flexed – she’s a beautiful boxer!
thank you jeanne for sharing an afternoon with me – i loved meeting you + lily and can’t wait to see you both again soon!
