back from greece!


me + mamasita enjoying the sunset at oia on the greek island of santorini. if i look apprehensive it’s because a stranger is handling my fancy camera – on a cliff nonetheless – and not because i’m not thoroughly enjoying myself (which of course, i was!)

hello! yes, i have returned from a wonderful escape to the greek islands…and am furiously working through the 300+ emails, phone calls, and of course, diligently editing photos! i’ll be posting a few blogs and stories from greece very soon, i have some wedding that need attention first! also, i’m headed out to LA on thursday for a few days to shoot and then i’ll be traveling in august as well…more about that upcoming trip (so excited!) after i share everything about the greek islands!

it’s greek to me!

i do *love* my job, but i need a vacation!

 

 

as you may have noticed from my blog hiatus (and then crazy blogging monday!) i have been VERY busy lately…over the last month i photographed 6 weddings, 5 engagement sessions, 2 corporate shoots, 2 family sessions, a number of events, and even promoted blonde photo at the 2-day HONFEST in bmore! i have had a fabulous time and this little blog has gotten a ton of traffic – i just hit the 100,000 hit mark a few days ago – WOO! however, as busy as this first half of the year has been, the fall is going to be even crazier, with another 16 weddings starting in late august! so…over the next week i will be cranking out as many photos as humanly possible and getting tons of cds shipped, and blogging lots! i’ve got a hard deadline of sunday night to make a lot of things happen because this time next week i will be on a plane to greece to RELAX and recharge for a few weeks! YAY! athens, santorini, mykonos: here i come! stay tuned for more details…

i can’t wait!!

*honfest!*

blonde photo participates in an original bawlmer celebration. 

 

i’m *so* excited for honfest this weekend! if you still don’t know about this oh-so-fabulous and oh-so-baltimore festival check out the website or read about the kitschy charm of baltimore in this recent article from the new yorker magazine!

BLONDE PHOTO is delighted to have a tent (i may have already mentioned this but i really am *so* excited, can you tell?) where all sorts of fun will be taking place, including a hon-themed photo booth! i will also be moving throughout the crowds documenting the day, but you will be able to spot me in one of my sweet BLONDE PHOTO t-shirts! look for the pink logo which is on everything…including the 200 balloons we will be passing out from our tent – WOOHOO!

honfest is taking place in hampden on saturday from 11-8 and sunday from 12-6 – so come on out, hon! you’re sure to love it! there will be live music, great food vendors, and tons of activities, as well as a beer garden :) – so it’s fun for all ages!

whatever gets you through the night…

frozen chai latte, what would i do without you?

wedding season is officially in full swing.
and the blonde photographer is officially in overdrive.

anyone who knows me knows that i don’t drink caffeine (yes, it’s crazy but true) however, hard times call for extreme measures, and these days frozen chai goodness keeps my motor running. a big thanks to the fabulous man who made me this lifesaver last night at hard bean coffee and booksellers in annapolis. when i was in st. michaels’ for katie + chris’ amazing wedding i got hooked on this delicious caffeinated treat. ever since, i have been requeting them everywhere i go! luckily starbucks keeps them on the menu, but other coffee shops look at me like i’m crazy…which, of course, i am.
