honfest day two was just as spectacular as the first day! we had another very busy day at the tent, with mamasita rocking the photo booth all day long! let me just say i have the BEST, coolest, most fun mom ever! i couldn’t ask for a better friend or partner for this weekend. i feel incredibly lucky! also, our fantastic friend (and one of my beautiful 2008 brides) michelle even jumped in and took over the booth for a while!
the highlight of the day was the conclusion of the BEST HON contest, a big congrats to agnes hurley the 2008 BEST HON! i loved everything about the HONFEST, but most importantly it was the people who made it such a wonderful experience. everyone was absolutely awesome – so here’s to new friends and hons everywhere!

we had so much fun today! thank you to everyone who came by the BLONDE PHOTO tent – we loved meeting all of you and taking your fabulous photos! the blonde mamasita was super busy at the photo booth all day while i ran around the festival…we took over 1,000 pics today and can’t wait for tomorrow!

i’m *so* excited for honfest this weekend! if you still don’t know about this oh-so-fabulous and oh-so-baltimore festival check out the website or read about the kitschy charm of baltimore in this recent article from the new yorker magazine!
BLONDE PHOTO is delighted to have a tent (i may have already mentioned this but i really am *so* excited, can you tell?) where all sorts of fun will be taking place, including a hon-themed photo booth! i will also be moving throughout the crowds documenting the day, but you will be able to spot me in one of my sweet BLONDE PHOTO t-shirts! look for the pink logo which is on everything…including the 200 balloons we will be passing out from our tent – WOOHOO!
honfest is taking place in hampden on saturday from 11-8 and sunday from 12-6 – so come on out, hon! you’re sure to love it! there will be live music, great food vendors, and tons of activities, as well as a beer garden :) – so it’s fun for all ages!

last week i had the opportunity to photograph the 6th annual national marine sanctuary foundation leadership awards dinner. held in the beautiful atrium of the ronald reagan building, the evening recognized and honored volunteers and leaders in the community, including speaker nancy pelosi and senator barbara mikulski. additionally, the famed dr. sylvia earl (chair, deep ocean exploration and research + explorer-in-residence national geographic society) and jean-michel cousteau (president, ocean futures society) were both honored with lifetime achievement awards for their stellar commitment to ocean exploration, research and preservation.
daniel ho, three-time grammy award winning musician and producer, closed the evening with a amazing performance.

whatever gets you through the night…
frozen chai latte, what would i do without you?
wedding season is officially in full swing.
and the blonde photographer is officially in overdrive.
anyone who knows me knows that i don’t drink caffeine (yes, it’s crazy but true) however, hard times call for extreme measures, and these days frozen chai goodness keeps my motor running. a big thanks to the fabulous man who made me this lifesaver last night at hard bean coffee and booksellers in annapolis. when i was in st. michaels’ for katie + chris’ amazing wedding i got hooked on this delicious caffeinated treat. ever since, i have been requeting them everywhere i go! luckily starbucks keeps them on the menu, but other coffee shops look at me like i’m crazy…which, of course, i am.
