matt + leslie engagement photos.

matt and leslie are getting married in just six weeks!

i am really excited for these two, they are so fun to be around and i’m really looking forward to their wedding. turns out matt and i went to the same grade school and high school, and his mom was one of my favorite teachers! such a small world!

we had only an hour to snap some quick pics – so we ran around the tidal basin, i did my best to get matt to smile, and he practiced dipping leslie for the wedding ;)

what you won’t see below are some of the hilarious outtakes from the shoot…these two are so funny!

sinatra soiree.

the 15th annual sinatra summer soiree at the galleria at lafayette center took place last night…word had it over 1000 tickets were sold, and it was absolutely jam-packed full of young, sun-tanned washingtonians…the crowd was a little younger than expected (read: throngs of interns from the deep south desperately vying for attention from the camera) but here and there i managed to locate the notable attendees…here are a few of my favorites, pictures/people:

the zoo.

i took a spontaneous field trip to the national zoo today…i only had a little over an hour which i spent stalking the rambunctious (and tiny!) golden lion tamarind monkeys — which, by the way, roam free within a section of the zoo! it was like seeing them in the wild…watching the giant panda eat bamboo, and waiting for the beaver to build its dam…i also became fascinated with the bees pollinating the flowers that grow throughout the zoo…can’t wait to go back…very soon!

the grand opening of ibiza.

ibiza, the newest club in dc, opened its doors last night — a week behind schedule, and about an hour late — to throngs of people who lined up around the block for a chance to check out the scene, and glimpse the celebrities kim kardashian and dj am.

nordstrom showcased its fall line at the national building museum in dc last week…the designers were great but i focused on the scope of the show…the lights, the music, the colors…fabulous…
