i had the pleasure of encountering cortez handmade cigars at the virtual golf girl event last week in dc! based in NJ, but traveling all over for events, i first met the guys from cortez at melissa + mike’s wedding in philly last summer! i love nothing more than observing a craft, and cigar rolling is entrancing, not to mention incredibly fun to photograph! i loved chatting with kristian and i *think* i may have convinced him to take me to the warehouse next time im in the dominican republic!

baby michael has arrived!

i first met laura at her sister lindsey’s wedding in late 2008, and i was *thrilled* to hear from her a few months ago and find out that she was expecting her first baby! meeting baby michael was fantastic and i loved the opportunity to spend time with her new family – including both of michael’s grandmas! everyone was so excited to be around this little baby – and at just two weeks old he is already so incredibly loved.

becca + chris: engaged!

this year’s love.

rebecca + christine are engaged!

chris proposed earlier this year in middle of the crazy blizzard and becca emailed me the very next day! i was thrilled to hear the news and couldn’t wait to meet them after hearing their story…becca and chris were as exuberant and fun as i imagined and i absolutely *loved* our session. i had a fantastic time getting to know them while strolling through a myriad of DC’s neighborhoods to capture photos in some of their favorite spots.
