gtdubb creative: a design studio.

gtdubb creative [jee-tee-duhb kree-ey-tiv].

gtdubb creative is a boutique design studio based in southern california that specializes in print + online media. i absolutely love everything gtdubb creates – especially the inventive + original logos and branding! the mastermind behind this studio is the super talented and uber hip g. tyler ward, who created the logo + design for the wedding invitation below. my very best friend is tying the knot this spring and i simply adore these invitations! i love the unique look, the chic + relevant logo, and the way that it captures the casual feel of the wedding as well as the personality of the couple. bravo!

i am *so* very excited and wanted to share this awesome project that i worked on with the super talented quinn peyser! i approached quinn to create a doodle for our awesome friend jessi. we chose one of meggie velasco’s amazing photos of jessi’s daughter and quinn set to doodling! after she created the the *new* image we printed it through canvas on demand and wah-lah!

best.thing.ever!

a feature on musician dave ihmels appeared in today’s LIVE! section of the washington post. i had the pleasure of hearing dave perform at melinda + tim’s awesome post-wedding bash where i shot the above photos. i was thrilled when he told me that the washington post was writing a piece on his work and honored to contribute a photo to the story, which appears online HERE. more importantly, you can catch dave playing music from his independently released CD Expandable, TOMORROW at fireflies in alexandria with linda sublett + todd baker.

showing love for the district.

i was *delighted* to discover this eco-friendly tote while doing holiday shopping yesterday at PULP in logan circle. it’s one of my favorite gifts since it combines local flavor + local art! i grabbed two of the last bags (one to give, one to keep!) and was lucky enough to meet the artist herself at the shop! she told me that although this design is almost sold out there are more fabulous creations on the horizon for 2009! check out her etsy shop and stay tuned!

jill stevenson.

jill stevenson is an incredibly talented woman.
she is a phenomenal musician, a soulful singer, and a true artist.
i had the absolute pleasure of meeting her, photographing her, and listening to her perform live at sundance this year. going back over the images from our spontaneous photoshoot at the sundance house i remember what a delight she was and how honored i feel to have met her.
